Press Club condemns robbery on senior journo

Shillong, Dec 1: The Shillong Press Club (SPC) has condemned a robbery committed on senior journalist Martin Nongkhlaw outside the SPC gate here recently. His car was also vandalised by the miscreants.

Urging the police to book the culprits at the earliest, SPC president M Siangshai said, “The frequent theft cases in the city pose a threat to the citizens at large.”

Even private residences and church premises are not safe, he added.

The SPC president also urged the state government to formulate a plan of action to instill a sense of safety and security for the citizens of this state,” he added.
