PS Thangkhiew named Meghalaya Farmers Empowerment Commission chairman

Shillong, Apr 9: The state cabinet on Tuesday approved the appointment of former chief secretary PS Thangkhiew as the chairman of the Meghalaya Farmers Empowerment Commission.

The earlier chairman had resigned on personal grounds and the post remained vacant. Following this, a committee was set up and had proposed the name of former chief secretary PS Thangkhiew for the post of chairman of the Meghalaya Farmers Empowerment Commission to which the cabinet approved on Monday.
