Jowai, Jan 26: The Muay Thai events at the 6th Meghalaya Games 2025 concluded today, with Ri Bhoi emerging as the dominant force in the men’s category, winning 8 gold medals. East Khasi Hills (EKH) led the women’s category, securing 6 gold medals.
In the men’s category, Ri Bhoi won gold medals in the 45 kg, 54 kg, 60 kg, 63.5 kg, 67 kg, and 70 kg categories. East Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills also secured medals in various categories.
In the women’s category, East Khasi Hills dominated, winning gold medals in the 45 kg, 48 kg, 51 kg, 54 kg, 57 kg, and 60 kg categories. Ri Bhoi and West Jaintia Hills also secured medals in various categories.
The medal winners in the men’s category included AllandonaldKharthangmaw of Ri Bhoi (45 kg), WadborlangMarwein of West Khasi Hills (48 kg), TeiboklangMarbaniang of East Khasi Hills (51 kg), Cornelius Maring of Ri Bhoi (54 kg), Ariston Syiemasad of East Khasi Hills (57 kg), ShamborlangMarbaniang of Ri Bhoi (60 kg), JubinianMylliempNgap of Ri Bhoi (63.5 kg), Silvester Ingti of Ri Bhoi (67 kg), and LamdameshwaNongrum of Ri Bhoi (70 kg).
The medal winners in the women’s category included Preety Suting of East Khasi Hills (45 kg), Anita Rai of Ri Bhoi (48 kg), AibyntalinKharumnuid of East Khasi Hills (51 kg), SoosyPhawa of Ri Bhoi (54 kg), Narimon Nongrum of East Khasi Hills (57 kg), and Jessica Thabah of East Khasi Hills (60 kg).
