State NCC cadet selected for Everest expedition

Shillong, Oct 9: In an landmark achievement for 61 Meghalaya Girls Bn NCC, its cadet Rifiness Warjri has been selected for the NCC Mount Everest Expedition 2025. 

A student of St Anthony’s College, Cadet Rifiness Warjri recently scaled Mt Abi Gamin and is the only cadet selected from all the seven states of the North East.

“Her success is a beacon of inspiration for the entire region and highlights the resilience and potential of the youths of the region,” stated a press release.

“Her story is a testament to the unwavering spirit and dedication that NCC Shillong nurtures in its cadets,” it added.
