Shillong, Apr 15: Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Urban Affairs Sniawbhalang Dhar on Monday announced that the state will sanction funds for resurfacing of city roads.
Dhar said the state rejected the detailed project report (DPR) submitted by the Public Works Department (PWD) after the project was found “not feasible for implementation due to various factors.”

“We have decided to stop the project so that we come with a fresh proposal from PWD road. We are yet to sanction funds but by this year, we will get good roads,” Dhar assured.
The deputy chief minister also informed that the PWD is identifying all water-logged areas in the city to be repaired.
