State ups ante to handle cyber crimes

Shillong, Apr 9: The government is investing in technologies in addition to creation of cyber cells in all districts to deal with the increasing cyber crimes in the state.

“We are and we already have started lots of work and investments are being made. Manpower is being increased, investment on technologies is being done and the cyber cells in different districts are being created,” informed Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday.

There is a lot of work going on to tackle this and more will be done in the future, informed the chief minister while adding, “Even in the last meeting, we had to discuss different aspects and they (police) have asked for more manpower and more investments.”
