Shillong, May 26: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) on Monday declared the results of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Supplementary examination, recording a pass percentage of 80.35 per cent.
Altogether 5,678 of 7,066 students cleared the SSLC hurdle after appearing in the Supplementary examination this year.

The main examination pass percentage was 87.10 percent. Taking the average of both the main and supplementary examination the pass percentage for this years SSLC examination is 96.02%.
The examination was conducted smoothly with cooperation from education department, district administration, police department, heads of institutions and especially the teachers who worked tirelessly during the entire process, said the Board’s controller of examination TR Laloo on Monday.
The supplementary examination was last conducted in 1993.
“The results of SSLC examination 2025, both main and supplementary, has been significant from other years as there is a quantum jump in the pass percentage. The reason for this is the dedication of the candidates and the introduction of the CM IImpact Guide Book,” Laloo said.

“As we make significant achievements this year, lets us look forward to the years ahead working together to secure a better future for our students through quality education,” he added.” The PPP arrangement is time-bound, with an exit clause allowing the government to take full control of operations in the future if needed. This ensures public accountability and transparency while leveraging private expertise only as an interim measure,” he said.
He concluded by urging the public to disregard misinformation and expressed confidence that TMCH would become a cornerstone of medical education and healthcare in Meghalaya, with all NMC compliances and faculty appointments on track for the 2026–2027 academic session.
