Tablets distributed among ASHAs

Shillong, Sept 6: Tablets were distributed among Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) of Ri-Bhoi district on Thursday, marking a significant move to enhance the contribution of ASHAs in socio-economic development. 

These tablets, to be equipped with health-related apps, will enable the ASHAs to upload, collect, report and access health information, track patients’ records and follow-ups and also to communicate effectively with healthcare providers.

To formally launch the initiative, deputy commissioner Abhilash Baranwal distributed some of the tablets among ASHAs at a small function recently

The initiative aims to enhance their efficiency in addressing health issues faced by the community, according to a press release.
