Three arrested with ganja, liquor in EKH

Shillong, Feb 4: The East Khasi Hills Anti-Narcotic Task Force arrested three persons from Mizoram 

along with 10 kgs of ganja and liquor in Mawryngkneng on Sunday.

In a coordinated effort with Mawryngkneng PS, the East Khasi Hills Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) intercepted a vehicle, a Tata Yodha with registration number MZ01/Z 3654 travelling from Shillong to Mizoram and arrested Sabina Lalnunmawiii (23), Lalrinmawia Chenkua (19) and Lalrosanga (28), district police chief Vivek Syiem said on Monday.

The force seized 10.455 kg of Ganja, 235 bottles of alcohol (750 ml), one green sofa set where contraband was hidden, two mobile phones were seized from their possession, he said.

A case has been registered with the Mawryngkneng police station under the NDPS Act.
