Tourist doctors hold health camp at Sangau, Mizoram

Sangau (Mizoram), Jan 22: A group of visiting tourists comprising senior doctors held an unscheduled health camp at Sangau in Lawngtlai district of Mizoram on Wednesday.

Over 40 patients attended the camp where two doctors – Guwahati based Dr Hiranmoy Das and London based Dr Sekhar Das – conduct heath check-up and prescribed medicines.

The health camp was organised in collaboration with Dr George Bawitlung from a local primary health centre.

Expressing happiness over having the opportunity to render service to the needy patients, the two doctors, however, opined that basic facilities such as ECG, X-Ray and ultrasound should be made available in the area.

The group of tourists from Guwahati have visited several places, including Champhai, Ri-Dil Lake, Zokhawthar, and Blue Mountain.
