Two Bangladeshi nationals held

Shillong, Nov 28: BSF troops in a joint operation with local police apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals, from Rajshahi district, near the bordering area of West Garo Hills on Tuesday.

Taharul Islam (23 years) from Chapainawabganj district and Md. Sayed (30 years) were nabbed after BSF and police after they received a tip-off. 

Both the individuals revealed that they had initially crossed into India through the border in Murshidabad, West Bengal six months ago where they traveled to Chennai , and worked as masons at a construction site.

An FIR was lodged, and both individuals were handed over to Dalu Police Station for further legal action.
