Shillong, Apr 4: The POCSO court at Nongstoin sentenced one Hamidul Ali to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl in 2020.
He was also asked to pay a fine of Rs 25,000 for the offence of sexual assault and another Rs 10,000 for kidnapping the girl.
The case in this regard was registered by Shallang police station in West Khasi Hills district.
