14 arrested in 2019 MTET paper leak case, House told

Shillong, Mar 7: Fourteen persons, including 11 students or candidates of Meghalaya Teachers’ Eligibility Test (MTET), were arrested for their involvement in the MTET question paper leak in 2019, education minister Rakkam A Sangma informed the state assembly on Friday.

The kingpin of the question paper leak was a program developer and employee of NEICOM Impression Printing Press, Guwahati, the minister said.

The question paper leak was first detected at Tura Government College in West Garo Hills district.

Meanwhile, the minister assured that the government would take all necessary steps to ensure such incident do not recur in future.
