80 vials of heroin seized in 1 week in Tura

Tura, Aug 30: The menace of drugs continues to be widespread across the Garo Hills region, with the Anti Narcotics Task Force of West Garo Hills police seizing as many as 80 vials containing heroin substance, within a week, from Tura alone.

According to police, the ANTF seized 80 vials of heroin along with cash and mobile phones from the Tura area, another 60 vials (heroin) from Phulbari area and 171 vials from Rongram area, 12 kms from Tura.

In the wake of the latest seizure across Tura and adjoining areas, Garo Hills police have appealed to the general public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station, outpost or beat office.
