2 drugs peddlers arrested in Boko, drugs worth Rs 4 lakh seized

Boko, Aug 30: Two drug peddlers were arrested by police from Rajapara under Boko Police Station in Assam’s Kamrup district on Thursday.

The arrested have been identified as Khandakar Akram Hussain (36) from Mahendrahanj, South West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya and Shahajul Haque (26) from Boguwan in Goalpara District.

The police team also seized 120 grams of drugs worth Rs 4 lakh from them. The consignment was packed in 10 separate packets.

A Honda SP 125 motorcycle bearing registration number AS 18H 2726) was also seized from the accused.

Based on the intelligence inputs provided by Kamrup Additional SP Kalyan Pathak, a police team led by Boko OC Phanindra Nath along with SI Apurba Kalita and Parismita Rajkhuwa conducted a search operation and seized the consignment.
