Arunachal: Motorists, commuters asked to avoid Seijosa-Pakke Kessang road after tiger sighting

Itanagar, Nov 7: Police in Arunachal Pradesh’s Pakke Kessang district have advised commuters and motorists to avoid the PSI-NEC Road connecting Seijosa and Pakke Kessang in the district, following a reported tiger sighting along the route.

In a public advisory issued on Thursday, the office of the Pakke Kessang SP said the precautionary measure was being taken in view of the potential threat to public safety.

The advisory urged residents, commuters and motorists to refrain from travelling along the road until further notice and exercise particular caution, especially those using two-wheelers, who could be more vulnerable in the event of an encounter with the wild animal.

The advisory will remain in force until further communication, it said.

For emergencies or urgent assistance, the public has been asked to contact Lemmi police station OC (8729826362), Seijosa police station OC (7629903528), Seijosa Range Forest Officer (6909267770), or the RFO of Pakke Kessang at 7630016425. (PTI)
