Shillong, Sept 12: Angry over rising inflation in the state, opposition Voice of the People Party (VPP) has announced they will stage a daylong sit-in-demonstration against rising prices of essential commodities on Septemer 13.
“We will hold a one day sit-in-demonstration in protest against the price rise of all essential commodities at Malki football ground from 10 AM to 5 PM,” VPP Chief Ardent Basaiawmoit said.
“Hence in this context, we urge all the concerned citizens to kindly join hands and participate in the demonstration,” he added.
