Sales day, cleaning drive mark Swachhta Hi Seva campaign

Shillong Sept 24: Participants and visitors were in for a treat on Tuesday as they attended the Sales Day at the DC Office Complex in Ampati, held as part of the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign.

The event featured a lively atmosphere with live music performances sponsored by MGMP. At the same time, essay writing competitions were also conducted in all four blocks of the district, encouraging young minds to reflect on the importance of sanitation and environmental responsibility.

Following the festivities, the officers and staff of the amalgamated offices of the District Administration undertook a cleaning drive, contributing to the cleanliness and upkeep of the DC Office Complex.

Organised by the District Administration, in collaboration with SBM (G) SWGH, the day-long event was part of the ongoing efforts to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and civic engagement throughout the district.

This event is one of many being held across the district and its blocks during the Swachhta Hi Seva fortnight, aimed at fostering a cleaner and greener environment.
