CM assures full cooperation in execution of NH projects

NHIDCL takes up 15 projects covering 346 km in Meghalaya  

Shillong, Oct 23: Chief minister Conrad Sangma has assured full cooperation from state government in timely execution of national highway projects undertaken by (NHIDCL) in the state.

Taking part in a two-day review meeting on national highway projects implemented by National Highways Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) in the north-eastern region, the chief minister focussed on the 15 projects covering 346 km in Meghalaya.

He also expressed gratitude to union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari for his special initiatives in transforming the national highway infrastructure in the North East. 

He praised Gadkari for his visionary leadership and appreciated NHIDCL’s commitment to enhancing the state’s infrastructure. 

Highlighting critical need for infrastructure development in the state, Sangma also emphasised effective collaboration between NHIDCL and the state administration.

Various stakeholders, including state officials, Authority’s Engineer (AE), and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors, took part in the review meeting to assess project progress and address the outstanding issues. 

The meeting decided foster cooperation to tackle challenges and ensure successful completion of the important infrastructure initiatives.
