Ampati, Nov 4: The arrest of seven bangladeshi nationals in Boldamgre village this morning happens to be the third incident in less than two months, indicating the level of influx that is being attempted from across the border.
On September 27, based on intelligence reports, police from the district intercepted an auto rickshaw with ten Bangladeshi nationals inside who were heading toward Zikzak. The men were apprehended at Boirakupi village of Zikzak.
Ten days later, on October 8th, a Bangladeshi national was apprehended from Bakdagre village, in the Mahendraganj border region. Though police was able to arrest one of the intruders, another managed to give them the slip by taking cover of darkness.
In this case, both the Bangladeshi national and the local resident who provided temporary shelter were arrested.
