Govt urges candidates not to fall prey to scammers
Shillong, Nov 22: The Central Recruitment Board (CRB) on Thursday suspended the ongoing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) after alleged deficiencies in recruitment process came to the fore.
“It has been brought to the notice of the Central Recruitment Board that there were deficiencies in the Physical Efficiency Test conducted at 1st MLP Mawiong Shillong and 4th MLP BN Sohpian in the last four days (November 18 to 21),” said CRB chairman Dalton P Marak in a statement.
After scrutinising the matter, the CRB has decided to suspend the ongoing PET with immediate effect from November 22, he said.
“The CRB is committed to ensuring an error free PET,” he asserted.
New dates for the PET will be announced at a later date and equal opportunity will be given to all candidates, he added.
“Candidates are advised to kindly be patient and bear with us to ensure a fair, smooth and efficient PET,” he said.
The candidates have been asked to resolve their queries either by visiting CRB office at Mawroh, Shillong or contact helpline no. 633164273.
Meanwhile, the CRB issued an advisory requesting all PET candidates not to fall prey to scammers promising jobs
The CRB chairman said scammers had been asking payment through UPI, Google Pay, and other modes of payment to make candidates pass the PET.
“All candidates are advised not to fall prey to such scammers,” he said.
