NE scribes on Maha Kumbh tour

Shillong, Jan 22: Fourteen journalists from North East India are set to visit Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj as part of a three-day media tour organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh from 21 to 23 January.

The journalists will represent Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.

“The delegation will have a unique opportunity to report on one of the largest spiritual gatherings in the world,” stated a PIB release. 

This year, the Maha Kumbh is expected to host over 45 crore devotees, including approximately 15 lakh international visitors.
