North Garo Hills Police recovers stolen motorcycle

Tura, Feb 8: In a significant operation led by North Garo Hills District Police, a stolen motorcycle reported missing in Matia Police Station Goalpara was successfully recovered on Saturday and involved persons were apprehended.

Based on credible intelligence, a joint operation was promptly initiated by IC Dainadubi OP along with Assam Police. Wageasi OGC staff successfully detained a Pulsar motorcycle bearing number AS-18 K 3422 at the Wageasi OGC.

Additionally, another motorcycle bearing number AS 01 FF 1309 was recovered at Gairong Bazaar. This swift action led to the detention of five individuals connected to the case.

It has been revealed that the stolen motorcycles were planned to be transported to Rongara for delivery to Bangladesh. The individuals detained in connection with this operation are Rockystar M Sangma, Sanstar A Sangma, Bagmara, Dabigiri, Fozirul Haque, Rofiqul Ali, Rakibul Islam.

All detained individuals have been formally handed over to the Officer-in-Charge of Matia Police station Goalpara District for further investigation and appropriate legal action.
