Crack down on motorcycle theft ring, Tura police nab 2 counterfeiters

Tura, Feb 15: In a significant breakthrough in their ongoing efforts to combat motorcycle theft, Tura police have apprehended two more individuals believed to be involved in a sophisticated operation that included the creation of counterfeit number plates for stolen vehicles.

The suspects, identified as Charles D Momin (23) and Rezabul Hoque (25), both residents of Goalpara, Assam, were arrested yesterday.


This latest development follows a series of arrests made by Tura police in connection with the same motorcycle theft ring and the seizure of dozens of stolen two wheelers from several districts of Garo Hills, including Tura since January of this year.
