Shillong, Mar 9: BSF troops intercepted a vehicle loaded with a significant quantity of sugar and apprehended an Indian national near the international border in South Garo Hills district.
The troops of 144th Bn seized the Eco Van loaded with sugar intended for smuggling across the border, the BSF said.
The seized goods, along with the arrested person, have been handed over to Baghmara police station for further investigation and necessary legal action, the BSF said.
