Contrabands, cattle worth Rs 40 lakh seized on border

Shillong, Apr 5: The BSF seized contraband items and cattle worth over Rs 40 lakh in multiple operations conducted along Meghalaya’s international border with Bangladesh on Friday, the BSF said in a statement.

Vigilant troops of BSF Meghalaya Frontier have seized contraband items, including liquor and cattle intended to be smuggled across the international border into Bangladesh, it stated.

All seized items have been handed over to local authorities concerned for further legal action, the BSF said.
