Border row: Regional committee report

Meanwhile, the deputy chief minister said the regional committee constituted for finding solution to inter-state boundary dispute in West Jaintia Hills has been asked to submit its report within a month’s time.

“I have asked them to submit the report within one month,” said Dhar, also chairman of the regional committee for West Jaintia Hills.

The report will be submitted by the committee after holding a meeting with its Assam counterpart.

“Then both the states will take a call on the issue,” he said.

Asked, Dhar said the delay was due to one village Baikham near Ratacherra.
