Shillong, Sept 2: Two drug peddlers including a woman were arrested with narcotics in their possession at Rilbong on Monday night.
Acting on tip off, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) conducted a house raid at a Nepali compound in the area and arrested the two accused identified as Sadik Ahmed (27) and Arti Dorjee (28), police said.
Four soap boxes containing suspected heroin were recovered from the rented house, weighing a total of 42.10 grams, they said.
A case has been registered with the Laban police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The accused have been medically examined and will be forwarded to court for further proceedings.
