Shillong, Nov 5: National People’s Party (NPP) state president and deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong has refuted reports of his alleged rift with fellow party leader and deputy chief minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, claiming hand of other vested interests behind it.
“Let me clarify today that it is not at all true and I think this news is a fake news or may be the persons who has written this they may have been used wrongly by any vested individuals or any vested political parties that only God knows,” Tynsong told reporters on Wednesday.
He appealed to the media to verify facts before publishing such news, warning that it creates unnecessary confusion among the people.
“I think we should not play such dirty politics or such dirty news which ultimately creates confusion among the people in the state,” he said.
Claiming that NPP resolves issues within the party through dialogue, he said, “I have been with the NPP and for a very long time I was with the Congress… the difference between the NPP and the Congress… NPP always treats its members as a family member.”
