No specific threat to Meghalaya: CM

Shillong, Nov 26: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has dismissed concerns over security following recent developments related to investigation into the Delhi blast that claimed the lives of 15 people recently.

The investigation was focused on the Delhi blast case and there is no cause for concern regarding safety and security in the state, Sangma told reporters on Wednesday after a cabinet meeting.

“We are taking all necessary measures to ensure safety, but there is no reason to believe that there is any specific threat to the state,” he added.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the government and security agencies are vigilant and will continue to take all necessary precautions to maintain peace and security in the state.
