Ardent seeks CM’s nod for key projects in Nongkrem

Shillong, Dec 4: VPP legislator from Nongkrem Ardent M Basaiawmoit has submitted two schemes under the District Mineral Fund to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, seeking approval for urgent infrastructure projects in his constituency.

The proposed schemes include the construction of a motorable bridge connecting the village road and the Presbyterian Secondary School Umphyrnai at Umphyrnai Rngi, and another bridge at Madan Umjaut, Pomlakrai Rngi Shyllong, each costing Rs 25 lakh.

In his letter, Basaiawmoit emphasized the need for immediate attention to ensure the safety of villagers and school goers. “I would humbly request you to kindly sanction the scheme as immediately as possible,” he wrote.
