German rock legends Scorpions announce India tour after nearly two decades

Mumbai, Jan 8: German hard rock band Scorpions will return to India in April 2026 with their ‘Coming Home’ tour, marking their first performances in the country in nearly two decades. The four-city tour, produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live, will include concerts in Shillong, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai.

The band will perform in Shillong on April 21 at JN Stadium, followed by Delhi-NCR on April 24 at HUDA Grounds, Bengaluru on April 26 at NICE Grounds, and Mumbai on April 30 at Jio Gardens, Bandra Kurla Complex.

Ticket sales will be rolled out in phases, with an artist pre-sale beginning on January 14 at 12 pm IST. An exclusive pre-sale for Kotak Mahindra Bank credit card customers will follow on January 15 at noon. General ticket sales will open at 1 pm IST on January 17, 2026, exclusively on BookMyShow.

“We are incredibly excited to finally be touring India again after such a long time and are looking forward to meeting our many, many fans in India. The concerts will also be a very special experience for us,” said vocalist Klaus Meine.

Guitarist Rudolf Schenker described the tour as a milestone, saying, “Sixty years after the band’s founding, we’re bringing our ‘Coming Home’ concert to India. It will be a unique celebration for our fans and for us.”

Guitarist Matthias Jabs added, “Finally playing in India again – and on top of that our now iconic ‘Coming Home’ concerts – will be spectacular and unforgettable for us as well.”

Naman Pugalia, chief business officer for live events at BookMyShow, said the band’s return reflects India’s growing stature on the global touring circuit. “Scorpions hold a singular place in the history of global rock, with music that has transcended generations, borders and cultures. Their return to India after nearly two decades is significant, not only for fans who have grown up with their songs but also as a reflection of how far India’s live entertainment ecosystem has evolved,” he said.

The India leg forms part of Bandland On Tour, an extension of BookMyShow Live’s Bandland property focused on rock and alternative music, as it expands across the country. The tour is supported by Meghalaya Tourism in Shillong, with The Circus as the event partner.

Formed in 1965, Scorpions are among the most successful rock bands in history, with over 120 million records sold worldwide and performances across more than 80 countries. Their catalogue includes songs such as ‘Rock You Like a Hurricane’, ‘Still Loving You’, ‘Send Me an Angel’ and ‘Wind of Change’, along with albums like ‘Love at First Sting’, ‘Blackout’ and ‘Crazy World’.

Kotak Mahindra Bank Solitaire is the title partner for the tour, while Jack Daniel’s Merchandise is the associate sponsor.
