Number of arrests in Rajabala attack rises to eight

Tura, Jan 17: Garo Hills police have arrested two more suspects in the Rajabala incident raising the total number to eight men in custody.

A team from Rajabala police station picked up two men from a place called Diara in South Salmara Assam late Friday night in connection with the Rajabala murder case in which a member of ACHIK organization, Dilseng Sangma, was killed by goons over the operation of illegal stone mining.

The two men picked up last night from South Salmara in Assam have been identified as
Mozahidur Momin and Mofidur Hussain, both 22 years.

In the last few days six other men from different parts of the plains belt region have been taken into custody for their alleged role in the attack that claimed the life of Dilseng Sangma.
