Unidentified body of female found in Ampati

Ampati, Jan 28: An unidentified female body was found on Tuesday morning near the old waiting shed at Joyfar Junction under Ampati Police Station.

The body was found after police received a call ,an inquest was conducted at the spot in the presence of independent witnesses, said Ampati police.

The body was later shifted to the morgue of the District Medical & Health Officer, Ampati, for post-mortem examination. According to preliminary findings and local witnesses, the deceased appeared to be mentally unstable and in poor health. She was reportedly seen in the area for the past three to four months and is suspected to belong to the Muslim community.

The body of the deceased, a thin-built woman of approximately 60 years of age, about 5 feet tall, with dark complexion and short grey hair, has been kept at the morgue for identification.

Relatives or acquaintances of the deceased are requested to come forward and claim the body within three days, and anyone having knowledge or information relating to the deceased have been asked to contact WPSI Winchi G. Momin, Officer-in-Charge, Ampati Women Police Station (Cell-7085959878).
