NPP welcomes over 300 new members in Tura and Garobadha

Tura, Feb 7: The National People’s Party (NPP) strengthened its ranks today as over 300 members of various political parties from Tura and Garobadha area joined the party.

The joining ceremony, held at Garobadha, was attended by senior party leaders, including MLA Subir Marak, and other dignitaries.

NPP Chief and Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K Sangma, welcomed the new members and urged them to work collectively for the greater cause of society.

“As we march towards developing our state, we must propagate the message of unity and harmony,” he said.

Sangma emphasized the party’s commitment to fighting for the rights of indigenous people and assured the new members of his support in working together for the upcoming GHADC election.

The event was marked by a sense of enthusiasm and optimism, with the new members pledging to work tirelessly for the party’s vision.

“NPP’s focus on unity, progress, and the welfare of the people resonates with us, and we are excited to be a part of this journey,” said a newly joined member.

The NPP chief’s call for collective action was met with applause, as the gathering reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s ideals.

The event showcased the party’s growing strength in the region, with more people eager to join the NPP’s mission to develop Meghalaya and protect the rights of its indigenous people.
