Assam Rifles distributes solar lights in Arunachal village

Itanagar, Mar 29 : The Assam Rifles organised a civic outreach programme for the distribution of solar lights at a village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district, an official statement said on Sunday.

The initiative by the paramilitary force’s Khonsa Battalion was undertaken at Old Paniduria village to support residents of remote areas by providing sustainable lighting solutions and improving their quality of life.

The statement said the project is expected to benefit the villagers by lighting up their village during evening hours and promoting safety and convenience in daily activities.

The Assam Rifles identified the project locations in coordination with village authorities to ensure that assistance reached the genuinely deserving sections of the community.

Residents praised the force for their thoughtful initiative and continued efforts for the welfare of the people, the statement added.

It said the initiative reflects the commitment of Khonsa Battalion towards community development and its dedication to strengthening goodwill, trust, and civil-military relations with locals. (PTI)
