Garobadha PIC gets upgraded into Police Outpost

Ampati, April 8: In a move aimed at improving public service delivery and administrative efficiency, the Garobadha Police Investigation Centre (PIC) has been upgraded to a Police Outpost (OP) under South West Garo Hills District.

According to an official notification, the upgraded unit will now function as Garobadha Police Outpost under the jurisdiction of South West Garo Hills.

In another significant development, the Purakhasia Police Outpost has been brought under the administrative control of South West Garo Hills District, with its jurisdiction transferred from West Garo Hills.

Officials informed that both Garobadha OP and Purakhasia OP have been taken over from the Superintendent of Police, West Garo Hills, Tura, and merged with the South West Garo Hills District Executive Force (DEF).

As per the revised arrangement, Garobadha OP will function under Damalgre Police Station, while Purakhasia OP will come under Salmanpara Police Station.

The reorganisation is expected to enhance policing efficiency and ensure better accessibility of services to the public.
