Day-long workshop on New Education Police at Baghmara

Baghmara, Aug 13:  The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Capt Williamson Memorial Government College in Baghmara organized a day-long seminar on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on Tuesday. The seminar focused on discussing the various aspects and implications of the NEP 2020, aiming to align the college’s academic and administrative practices with the policy’s objectives.

The seminar was sponsored by PM – RUSA.

In a brief address, South Garo Hills district  Deputy Commissioner PR Marak acknowledged the need to implore knowledge whenever the new programme and policy is being framed or implemented by the government stating that here the stakeholders are teachers and the students.

“The stakeholders should be made well aware of such policies so that it can be implemented successfully,” Marak said. 

The DC further urged the student community to learn relearn the unlearn.

Speaking as the resource person, IIMT Bhubaneswar  Director Prof Srikant Patnaik gave a talk on Artificial intelligence (AI) and future society. The impact and different aspects of AI in achievement outcome-based education.

Another resource person Prof BP Sahu dwelt at length on the outcome-based education, domain and theoretical orientation and silent features of NEP 2020.

Speaking on the occasion, BS Lyngdoh elaborated on smart learning outcomes concerning Bloom’s Taxonomy.

Andreas Rynjah talked on AI in NEP 2020 and also highlighted on learning to unlearn and relearn.
