Shillong, May 12: Chief Secretary Dr Shakeel P Ahammed on Tuesday completed the self-enumeration process for the House-Listing Operations (HLO) of Census 2027 through the official Self-Enumeration portal.
The Self-Enumeration process for Census 2027 in Meghalaya commenced on May 1, 2026, as part of the digital initiatives introduced to ensure efficient and citizen-friendly data collection.
Present during the process were Commissioner & Secretary and State Nodal Officer for Census 2027 Dr Pooja Pandey and Secretary and Additional State Nodal Officer Swapnil Tembe.
Representing the Directorate of Census Operations, Meghalaya, Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India, were Joint Director Subhasish Chatterjee and Deputy Director Aibor Sanglyne.
The Self-Enumeration was completed smoothly using the dedicated portal, one of the key digital tools developed for the House-Listing Operations of Census 2027.
