CM Yogi Woos Investors to UP with incentives, 75,000-acre land bank, single-window system

Noida, Jun 27: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday invited domestic and global investors to invest in the state, saying Uttar Pradesh offers a 75,000-acre land bank, sector-specific policies, timely incentives and a single-window clearance system.

Addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Amber and Ascent-K Circuits electronics manufacturing plant in the Jewar area of Gautam Buddh Nagar, Adityanath said the state had undergone a major transformation in recent years, making it an attractive investment destination.

“Western Uttar Pradesh’s Jewar region, which once faced an identity crisis, has completely changed. Law and order have improved significantly, and Uttar Pradesh today invites investors from across the country and the world with a land bank of 75,000 acres,” he said.

The chief minister said the state had formulated policies for 36 different sectors, enabling investors to choose suitable sectors while assuring them of government support.

“We have policies for every sector. Investors can come and invest, the government provides incentives on time, and a single-window clearance facility is available. Any investor can establish projects without human intervention and contribute to accelerating the pace of development,” he said.

Adityanath said the investment of over Rs 6,045 crore by Amber Group and South Korea’s Ascent-K Circuits (a private Indo-Korean joint venture) would generate employment and encourage the establishment of more anchor units in the electronics manufacturing ecosystem.

He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a global electronics manufacturing hub and thanked Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for translating that vision into reality. He also thanked Union Environment and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav for facilitating projects with timely approvals from his department.

Both the Union ministers, along with UP Industrial Development and Export Promotion Minister Nand Gopal Gupta, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh and other officials were planning at the event.

“The objective is that products which we import today should be manufactured in India and exported to the world. India has to emerge as a global hub for electronic components,” Adityanath said.

The CM said UP had already emerged as the country’s MSME hub with more than 96 lakh registered micro, small and medium enterprises.

He added that the state had also become India’s mobile phone manufacturing hub, with about 55 per cent of the country’s mobile phones and 55-60 per cent of electronic components being produced in the Noida-Greater Noida region.

Adityanath said the PM’s vision was to make India a developed, prosperous and self-reliant nation by 2047, adding that the journey towards that goal had already begun in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in Gautam Buddh Nagar.

He also stressed that citizens’ participation and fulfilment of civic responsibilities would be essential in achieving that objective. (PTI)
