Aizawl, Jul 16: Mizoram’s ruling Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) on Thursday claimed that corruption has been significantly curbed under its government and no minister or party MLA has been implicated in any graft case so far.
The party’s executive committee meeting adopted resolutions commending the government’s achievements in governance, infrastructure, healthcare and anti-corruption efforts, party leaders said.
Lauding the performance of Chief Minister Lalduhoma’s government, it said key accomplishments included progress in the Vairengte-Sairang four-lane highway project, relocation of Assam Rifles bases from Aizawl to Zokhawsang, improvement in healthcare delivery, stricter enforcement of laws and regulations, reduction in smuggling, transparent recruitment in government services, and timely payment of salaries to government employees.
The meeting praised the government’s efforts to strengthen unity among ethnic Zo communities across the world.
It acknowledged the work of the Mizo Diaspora Cell operating from the chief minister’s office in assisting Zo people facing difficulties outside Mizoram and helping resolve issues affecting members of the community.
Reaffirming the party’s commitment to its ‘Kalphung Thar-Mipui Sawrkar’ (new system-people’s government) policy, the committee appreciated the dedication and hard work of the government employees in implementing schemes.
It also urged officials to continue serving with commitment and integrity to support the state’s development initiatives.(PTI)
