Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 16: The Kerala Cabinet has decided to establish two exclusive NIA courts in Ernakulam, Chief Minister V D Satheesan said here on Wednesday.
He was addressing reporters after chairing a Cabinet meeting here.
“The matter had been pending earlier, but a decision has now been taken. There are also judicial procedures involved. Two exclusive NIA courts will be established in Ernakulam,” Satheesan said.
The expenses for the courts will be borne by the Central Government and the state has completed the required procedures, he said.
In another decision, the Cabinet has approved the creation of 18 new posts of Radiographer Grade II in the Health Department.
The decision was taken after reports that a shortage of radiographers in several hospitals was affecting patients, Satheesan said.
“Accordingly, 18 new Radiographer Grade II posts will be created in the Health Department,” he said. (PTI)
