Shillong, Sept 30: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has clarified the need for food court at facilitation centres to be set up at entry-exit points, saying travellers require a proper place for parking and to have refreshments.
“The facilitation centre has to be there and along with it the food court will also be there. Both have to be together so that a proper place is created where vehicles can easily stop and people can have snacks, tea and so on,” Tynsong told reporters on Wednesday.
The district administration has been instructed to carry out inspections before rolling out the process.
“We have instructed the district administration that if there is any doubt or dissatisfaction over the first inspection, we can even go for 2-3-4 inspections. We leave it to the wisdom of the district administration to ensure inspection is done satisfactorily,” he said.
