Saudi authorities say 3 killed in attacks on Riyadh airport claimed by Houthi rebels

Cairo, Oct 9: Three Saudi citizens were killed, and several other people were injured in two attacks Thursday targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and a Saudia Airlines aircraft, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said Friday.

The first attack targeted airport facilities, while the second struck the aircraft, the statement said. It did not identify those responsible, though Iran-backed Houthi rebels in neighbouring Yemen claimed to have targeted the airport. (AP)
