Shillong, Nov 5: Former bureaucrat Ripnar Lyngdoh on Thursday took oath as the state’s new Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) at Lok Bhavan in Shillong.
Governor CH Vijayashankar administered the oath in presence of Chief Secretary Shakil P Ahammed and other senior government officers.
The retired IAS officer will serve in the top post under the Right to Information Act, 2005 for two years from the date of joining or till she attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
