Abandoned bag causes bomb scare

Shillong, Mar 17: An abandoned back at Laitumkhrah led to a bomb scare in the city on Monday.

Police cordoned off the area after receiving information about the abandoned bag near Prakash Hotel at Laitumkhrah police point.

“Since it was an abandoned bag, we had to take precaution,” said East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem.

The bag, left by the owner by mistake, contained a laptop and a PAN card, he said.
