ADC polls: NPP ‘wave’ getting stronger: Dhar

Shillong, Jan 27: NPP general secretary and deputy chief minister Sniawbhalang Dhar on Monday claimed that the party had made more inroads into the voters increasing the possibility of it winning simple majority in the autonomous district council (ADC) elections in Khasi and Jaintia Hills.

The party’s “wave” is getting stronger day by day as the people of the state want development, which is what NPP is doing, he said.

Elections to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) will be held on February 21.

“NPP will win full majority in both the councils,” Dhar said, adding, “It is a very good trend for the party in both the ADCs,” Dhar added.
