ADG Border Roads reviews Project Sewak, Indo-Myanmar border fencing

Dimapur, July 10: Additional Director General Border Roads (East), Shri Jitendra Prasad, VSM, reviewed the progress of strategic infrastructure projects under Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Project Sewak during his two-day visit to Dimapur on July 9 and 10, with special emphasis on the Indo-Myanmar border fencing project.

The review covered the planning and execution of all ongoing BRO projects in Nagaland and Manipur aimed at strengthening strategic connectivity and national security infrastructure.

A major focus of the visit was the ongoing Indo-Myanmar border fencing work. Prasad underscored the project’s national importance and directed all agencies involved to accord the highest priority to its timely completion.

He also interacted with the Corps Commander to discuss issues relating to security infrastructure development in the region.

Drawing on more than four decades of experience in the BRO, the ADG held detailed interactions with project executives and contractors, offering practical solutions to address local engineering challenges, expedite project execution and achieve stipulated targets.

He stressed that while timely completion of projects remains essential, quality of workmanship should not be compromised, and called for maintaining the highest construction standards to ensure long-term operational readiness.

Project Sewak is a key unit of the Border Roads Organisation responsible for developing and maintaining strategic road infrastructure and security-related projects in the border states of Nagaland and Manipur.
