AQUA boost to Cherry Blossom fest lineup

Shillong, Oct 30: The lineup for Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2025 has now got huge addition of AQUA – famous for “Barbie Girl”, “Doctor Jones”, etc. – lifting several notches higher the temptation to make for the event.

AQUA, known for their infectious 1990s sound and high-energy performances, will join an already impressive lineup featuring Norah Fatehi, Diplo, Jason Derulo, and The Script, further cementing the festival’s reputation as one of India’s top live music events.

Confirming AQUA’s participation, the organisers said it highlights the festival’s commitment to showcasing a wide range of musical styles — from pop and electronic to indie, rock, regional and folk.

“This year feels particularly special,” said the organising team. “Our goal has always been to make Shillong the centre of South Asia’s live music scene, and the 2025 lineup reflects that diversity.”

Beyond the music, festivalgoers can explore fashion, art, gaming, food, and sustainability zones, all set against the stunning cherry blossom backdrop that defines Shillong each November.

The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2025 will take place in November in Shillong, Meghalaya, presented in collaboration with the Government of Meghalaya and Meghalaya Tourism.
