AR distributes medical aid to differently-abled in Noklak

Kohima, Dec 22: In a significant effort to support the differently-abled community, the Assam Rifles distributed essential medical assistive devices in Noklak district, Nagaland, on December 20, 2024. The initiative aimed to address the daily challenges faced by residents with limited access to medical resources.

A total of 82 individuals, including children, elderly citizens, and women, benefitted from the distribution of 20 crutches, 37 pairs of spectacles, and 25 hearing aids.

The distribution followed a medical camp organized by the Assam Rifles on December 3, 2024, during which the lack of basic medical resources among the local population was identified. Subsequent medical tests were conducted to determine specific needs, resulting in the targeted provision of equipment.

The event drew a significant turnout, showcasing the Assam Rifles’ commitment to enhancing the lives of vulnerable populations in the region. Local residents expressed heartfelt gratitude, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in bridging gaps in medical accessibility.
